Maybe in books there is a chemistry between them but I didn't like them in the show. They are both cute but it happened too fast, and it felt like Ygritte only seduced Jon and they were not so in love at all. Anyway - great work

To be honest it's even more awkward in the books, because of the age difference, and the battle where (SPOILER!!!) Ygritte dies happens a lot earlier in the books.

So how old is Ygritte in books? Jon in books is 14 or something. In show they are all older and the couple looks like they're similar age.Β

In the books she's 21, I think. Not precisely too cougar-esque, but still weird.
Also now that I'm giving it some thought, they actually spend less time together in the books (I think I'm remembering correctly). In the show Ygritte escorts Jon to the wildlings, whereas in the books she's like OK BYE and reappears when Jon meets Mance for the first time.
...I'm getting a rapey vibe from Ygritte, LOL
