Description

Desecration of Tessa:

Tessa is injured in the war, enduring an internal spirit invasion during the same attack that kills Beatrix's grandfather. She is only kept alive at the brink of death by casting 'stop' on herself to nearly freeze time for herself. No one here can truly exorcise the dark spirits inside her, but Ceylon and Emma combine their strengths to try and save her life. Ceylon even has to resort to casting a constant 'Silence' status on Tessa to hush the spirits trapped inside her. She is -- mostly fine after that, but with lasting personality changes due to the darkness that still lurks inside her.

Afterwards, the political situation of the Southern Islands changes dramatically. Previously, they had been mostly neutral to the civil war in the north. However, Beatrix uses this attack to rally all the islands to The Alliance's cause.

Tessa's personality change makes her readopt her given name Teresa exclusively. She retreats back, re-embracing the island culture she was born into, albeit with some strange undertones (due to the spirit's influences). She once again adopts the flowers of the south, especially the flower of her native island - the spider lily. Symbolizing death, it and her giant scythe make for quite the pair. A flower crown is modified into her existing hat, as Teresa hopes the native island spirits will help her win against her own internal demons.

Teresa never falls completely to the darkness, though her personality changes, becoming more sinister. She is watched very closely when she decides to rejoin the war, but never wavers. Although losing much, Teresa also gains a bit from the demon's capture. She can see into the abyss - a dimension of nothingness - with her demon eye. Useless in itself, it also allows her to better track spirits that have entered her own world. She also gains a bit of control over the very spirit magic they are fighting. Her time magic is extended into the abyss dimension, allowing her to rapidly age a target until death. The smaller the target, the faster she can move time upon it: Something so small as a hand can be withered to dust in mere seconds.

Teresa's possession remains until after Ceylon invokes the sealing spell at the end of the story. At such time, all spirits are trapped back on the other side of the veil. She gets her mind back to normal, mostly, though the psycological effects continue to remain.
