Funny story: I started the redraw around this time last year -- I think it was either late July/early August? And I thought to myself:

"This is gonna be the capstone of my art as a senior! I gonna finish it in time for college apps, so I can show them the improvement from the third remake!!!"

Yeah that didn't fucking happen

I worked on it a lot around September/October time but eventually I stopped because other school things + college apps took priority over this (plus I had other drawings I could put on my app) and I guess I just

Worked up the courage to start working on it again until now jLKSJFDKLDF

In the end, I think it turned out alright? I made the sketch so long ago that when I went back to finish it, I realized how much I 1) got better at anatomy, and 2) how much I hated the sketch JLKFDSJLDF

I didn't have the sanity nor patience to redo the whole thing over again (at that point I had roughed out the basic colors + shading for Bodil, Ty, Jason, and sorta Jerome) so I went with it anyways. The composition of the piece is also a little "meh" to me as I wanted it to resemble something like a wall mural, but I don't think I pulled that off very well. I really liked painting the ahir and golden armor/laurel, tho!! And bird wings are always a blast to draw ; w ; I didn't have the patience to paint Seto's wings so I compromised a little-- I hope you can forgive me

Honestly, I have no idea how long this took me. I want to estimate somewhere between 60-70 hours? But that number doesn't seem right. Suffice to say it took a fucking long time. I wanted to finish it before I start college as a sort of gift to myself; I've really grown as both an artist and as a person since the last remake -- and especially since the first iteration of Centuries -- and I guess I wanted something that I could look at and say:

"Yeah, I've come a long way. And I can still keep going."

Sorry if this is really cheesy ajdlkfasjdfalfej Centuries means a lot to me, and I guess I just wanted to put it out there

Anyways online classes + confusing UI + incoming college freshman ain't fun so uh---
