proportion and angles are great.
next time, add paper if you have to or work on larger paper, include the whole foot even if you arent comfortable drawing it, just give it a try, try to at least get the shape of the head in even if not the features..
you should work in a more cubist style. your hand is wanting you to! think broque, or look in my gallery and you will see some cubist style images that maybe you will be inspired by.
