The ballerinas back then had a figure, the ballerinas now disappear when they turn sideways

Amazing the difference in the "showgirls" now and the ones back then. Back then, they actually looked like women and not just stick figures thrown on stage.

I would assume that This was for a "showgirl" routine, probably in Vegas or something like it. I've never heard of a costume like this one being used in the 1920's for an actual ballet (I could be wrong, though).

Yeah, it seems to be impossible to dance with this dress, but it looks very nice!
