iNcRediBle!!!!!! I love it from a distance as well, it takes on a 3rd dimention. It has an illusion of depth. Very nice.

thank you. All of mine are like that--like a signature or somethin---you can rotate them on all sides---images and illussions---I'm so glad you see them. There's certainly enough.

Not only is theis dark and sinister, but incredibly well handled. I'm not one to place the real value of a piece like this on the execution, but I have to see this is extremely impressive.
You gaze into those voids of eyes and think of all the things that they have observed. The Daemon thing must have known unimaginable things. But then through the chaos of black and white emerges a grey. One lonely face suffering from untold tumors around. But it isn't really a monster. Just an observer, removed from reality.

One of my favourites for sure.

Stepbeyond In reply to 6BandBlackInk [2005-11-03 09:23:29 +0000 UTC]

that's a very good observation on observer : ). Yes, you do see the different looks in there. When I was almost finished with him I thought of the name. Observer seemed to be a perfect match for him. As always, you realy look at this work. Not everyone does this because of time limitations--but you have to with them--with yours--with many of them-- otherwise you're missing so much--and that's a shame because that's the whole point with abstracts like that--all the things you don't see right off the bat. Once again, your feedback is always so helpful and relevent. Thanks buddy ; ) The next one--in color--is different--want you to put your thinking cap on coz I'm not sure about this one.

For starters I love the ink job. Love all the other faces that you see in this one. I find this one kind of comical, it looks almost like a child wearing a parents headdress. The head looks muck to small of the headdress. It almost looks like there is another dominate face near the neck of this piece. It would be fun to set down and count how many distinct faces and eyes you can see in it.

Stepbeyond In reply to 369Naruto [2005-10-31 05:36:05 +0000 UTC]

That's what I been saying : ) Some of the pieces you've seen have to have 100 different images--creatures, etc. I wonder how long it would take me to draw seperately each character in any one of my drawings. Hmmm 6 months? I guess it depends on how they were developed. It would be so interesting to do.

It would be interesting to do, but you would lose the over all effect.

Now when I look at this I see world monuments. There's definitely elements of the Eiffel Tower in there, The statue of Liberty, the Sydney Opera House. It's like a weird emalgamation of what would happen if the world monuments were personified as one!!!... I need to get some sleep...
