My fave of all faves. A great great idea for a sketch. Not mine, but I ain't complainin'... I got to draw it. At some point, I was thinking of doing a still pose, helmet off, showing a Betty Page head underneath, but I decided to go for the action pose, which actually has elements of the pin-up girl pose, so I would say it has a little bit of everything...Related content

I wish I'd met him. He will always be one of the major inspiration for me. He's the comic book artist that made me understand how to draw good girl art, in the first place.

And you'd be correct in saying that. This was always an eye opener for me when I first saw this. I'd stare at it for hours. Followed by a little crying lol. But to this day, there's things in it that I catch, that were not noticed before.
You and I have a mutual friend (Steven E Gordon) who knew Dave... and although I've never asked... It's always drawn curiosity (pardon the pun)... How the hell did the Rocketeer not burn his butt, when those jets activated?
Some day, I'm going to have to ask Steve if he has any ideas. lol
