His silken fur is a subtle golden tan. During the winter it tends to be darker and during the summer it grows more golden. He has dark chestnut points along his nose and legs and the other cooler parts of his body.

His mask is brilliant crimson shot through with streaks of gold and soft oranges. There is an intricate lacing of ebony in and out of the mask that really makes this mask appear as though it is a butterfly even so far as to make a dark blaze that resembles a butterflies body. His long mane and tail are a soft crimson. Long strands of gold and soft orange pepper his lustrous mane. His tail is long and soft as he tends to himself often. His long dark horn is gently curved and the hue of darkest chocolate. However, weaving around it is a spiral of deep reddish brown. His deep brown eyes are very keen and he has a distinct alertness to him. His ears move constantly and his eyes can't help but scan the horizon. He is most often seen staring into the distance, often up into the clouds and beyond. He loves to "strike a pose" to catch a stray look from the mares.

He is fit and there is an aire of strength to his body. But, either way, he's still an animal built for speed. He's fast and you can see it in his body. He's got muscles that are sleek and when he runs, he really enjoys it, throwing his head in the air, sometimes closing his eyes.
Character 4 Personality

Sky can't help but feel strongly about himself. He carries a confidence that few unicorns ever experience. He's always calm, like the center of the storm. He's also overconfident, willing to throw himself into situations, always convinced he can do it. But he does it with such utter confidence, utter decision, that most of the time, no one knows he has no clue what he's doing (himself included). He may not do things right, but he does his best, and he's unusually intelligent. In fact, its good to mention that he thinks very highly of his intellect. He's brilliant, absolutely brilliant. And does he know it! Most think him arrogant, but he really just knows that he probably is better than you (and is occasionally right).

To those he likes (usually mares) he treats them with the utmost care. He loves the ladies and knows you catch more flies with honey. He exudes a sort of suave finesse when it comes to dealing with mares. This same liquid tongue had often gotten him out of the way when males don't like him, and its definitely what got him into the position of Messenger even as a young stallion.

This smooth-talking stallion is often viewd as self-centered and shallow, which he is. However, to contradict that, he is not self-centered when it comes to friends and family. He's also not truly shallow when it comes down to it. He just doesn't part easily with his loyalty since the early loss of his dam made it difficult for him to bond with others. Also, since he was raised by stallions he had little true understanding of how to treat a mare and either grossly undervalues them or simply forgets they are useful. Also, he holds strongly to a very patriarchal upbringing. Despite it all, he learned to be charming from the other stallions who would give him tips. Eager to be near the mares, he quickly learned to flatter and coo his way into their hearts.
Character 4 History

The violent storm shook the walls of the small room. She could feel them reverberating back and forth over the walls. The mare leaned against one of the stone walls. The other members of the herd were nearby, but they would be out of sight until the deed was done. Being born during a storm was considered fortune? Was it not? The mare snorted and walked on, her hooves putting her into a rhythm. She felt the churning feelings from her belly, the foal inside eager to be born. She was not ready yet though, she could sense it, and she continued to walk, hoping it would put her body at ease. This was painful, more painful than her first foal. More painful than she could have guessed.

She had insisted on this, on the traditional birth, despite the weather. She came from a good family, a strong lineage and before her each mare had come here and birthed a strong foal. She would do the same, alone as the mares of her herd did. She curved her neck and strained in pain. She was in the place where long ago the herd decided was the best birthing place. It was an old ruin, overgrown with trees and vines, making it walled in three directions. However, there was little shelter overhead and it was always a little too cold for comfort. But, it was said that it made for strong foals. As the mare craned her neck, she nickered softly, more to the little one in her belly than to anyone else. She waited, the pain came again, this time it rolled and rolled. She screamed as the pain of the birthing exploded, around her.

The next moment, the mare was still and dead. The young foal by her side meekly laid there, struggling to breathe. The stallion and several broodmares there to help should the mare called for help, hurried there, a moment too late, the sire of the little foal, moved forward, still too late. The mare was gone. The foal crept to the stallion’s side and with a stoicism that would continue the stallion simply took the young colt to his side and began to tell the stallions of his mother. “This is your first and your strongest ancestor.” Said the grave stallion. “Know that she came from the finest lineage and she was the most beautiful mare in the land.” He said, his words honest but full of

There is something beyond fantasy here. This is a mystical land just for you. If you like something real or mundane, Stephanie creates stunning domestic and wild animals. She studies biology and has a love of the ocean and wild animals. Horses, wolves, foxes, ponies, deer, dogs, cats, panthers, lions, fish, tigers and other creatures are some of the animals she draws. Stephanie Small is an artist located in California but she has spent time all over Oregon. Nature is an influential inspiration to Stephanie, as she seeks to augment and reflect what she sees around her in a variety of mediums. Inspired by medieval art, the fantasy and science fiction genre and more, Stephanie has developed a style of mythical realism. Stephanie uses a variety of styles and mixed mediums in her artwork. She regularly uses digital mediums such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter and more. She favors traditional mediums such as colored pencil, chalk, pen, ink, pencil, acrylic, watercolor. She has been known to adapt fabric, recycled art, recycled purses to create art that is both useful and stylish.

Stephanie has been interviewed and featured in several magazines and websites. Her artwork has been published several times in books and magazines. She is best known for artwork featured in publications such as the Page, the Twisted Vine, the Unicorn and others. Her artwork will be featured on the cover of several upcoming books and publications.

She often donates teaching, administrative assistance, research and artwork to many local non-profits. She has taught in-person and online classes on food preservation, writing, gardening, spirituality, unicorns, art and more. She has worked for (and with) the local government to initiate youth projects, senior events and business support.

Stephanie loves unicorns and the horses she grew up with. It is clear in her art. She also loves mermaids. She even has a set of mermaid fins she can swim in.
