I love it but I don't understand what you meant by ...La rouge a monte ... I speak french, it's my first language and I not sure to understand ...do you mean : Le rouge à lèvres ? ...or I don't know ..what was your title in english, maybe I can help you if you want to translate. It's just so..straightforward. Her gaze just really catches you..
You have a pretty neat style overall to your paintings, but I would say that proportion is your biggest issue. (And that isn't even all the time, just in some.)

I'm frankly impressed by your work, I see Toulouse Lautrec in your hands and the paris atmosphere of the 19th century! Very good job. Keep painting like you do, this is awesome.

pretty good for a aussie girl in the 21st century then eh? But i have to admit Toulouse is a big influence, as well as Degas....I guess that would explian the french connection.

haha. no, i don't speak french. i'm trying to learn it at the moment though, but i haven't gotten very far.
i know of the series you're talking about - the little house on the prarie. yeah, it reminds me a bit of that too now that you mention it.
