Description I got the inspiration from some vintage ads posted on Youtube, Dailymotion, etc and a recent journal entry then I did .... with the tagline then Plymouth used in 1969 "Just Look what Plymouth's up to now" who was based on a song titled "Sunday will never be the same" by a folk-rock band named Spanky and our Gang.  Here Lita (Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter) and Maurecia from Wayside school admiring a 1970½ Plymouth Fury Gran Coupe who was a model offered in the middle of the 1970 model year. The Gran Coupe was a plushed variant of the Fury I 2-door sedan to give it more "pizzazz" with the Sport Fury front end with the hidden headlights.

For references for drawing the car, I used Oldcarbrochures, IMCDB(Internet movie cars database) and this site devoted to the 1969-73 C-body Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth/Imperial models reffered as "Fuselage era". Also, there some interesting oddities like the 1965-68/1969-72 Plymouth Fury was sold as Dodge Phoenix in Australia while the Dodge Polara/Monaco was sold as Chrysler 383 in South Africa.   www.flickr.com/photos/aussiefo… www.flickr.com/photos/glenhspa… www.allpar.com/world/south-afr… www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g9_VH…
