Rocky rocks! Also, its one of the best boxing films ever!

Rocky follows Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) in 1975, a small-time boxer from working-class Philadelphia, is arbitrarily chosen to take on the reigning world heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), when the undefeated fighter's scheduled opponent is injured. While training with feisty former bantamweight contender Mickey Goldmill (Burgess Meredith), Rocky tentatively begins a relationship with Adrian (Talia Shire), the wallflower sister of his meat-packer pal Paulie (Burt Young). The story was well-written by Stallone. Rocky is a lovable character and a talented fighter. The supporting characters are memorable, especially Adrian, Mickey and Apollo Creed. Despite the film being mostly serious, there are touches of humor in the film.

It has memorable quotes like "Yeah. I been out there walkin' around, thinkin'. I mean, who am I kiddin'? I ain't even in the guy's league.", This film is the poster child for the classic rags to riches story.  In fact, it even invented, (or at least popularized), the training montage.  It has good music, especially the song Gonna Fly Now.

Rocky is a classic film, and it's one of the greatest films in 1976.

10/10
