Thank you. I did the "rendering" in Painter and most of the background and color adjustments in PS.

Blending? I would lay down different tones of color and the blend them in Painter. You can do it in Photoshop, but I prefer the look of Painter.

What media di you normally use to paint in Painter? (corel Painter?)

It's just a matter of preference. Photoshop is certainly fine for some things, or practically everything if one is so inclined. But I like to try different things. Like, the background was actually done with oil paint and then scanned and tweaked in Photoshop. Again, whatever works to get the job done.
