well, my problem was the awfulm reflection of what was behind the window...one time you could see my reflection then you could see the houses reflected, I got really pissed, but also wanted to have an acceptable shot!
So thank again!

Well, I never change anything on my pictures (well, maybe 1 picture out of 200 or so, but then these are just minor changes), no color pimping or anything. The only thing I do with Photoshop is resizing the photos so they are not too big and uploading won't take too much time.
I'm really not a fan with all the improving of photographs. I remember one deviant who had an amazing gallery, and then showed a landscape picture before and after his changes in PS. It was awful! I think a lot of photography is so different from the original version that it should be in the photomanipulation section.

I think Photoshop kind of ruined the photography art.

I think it's a complicated question. Because art is not about what we see with our eyes but what we see with our imagination. I'm a kind of agree with you because those "super enhanced" unrealistic photos are getting a bit boring after some time. And that you can do incredible things with Photoshop so you don't need to use your imagination to get a certain effect a natural way. But photos were colored long before Photoshop was made, long before computers became a part of our life, even long before microchips were invented. Retouch was invented and applied long before Photoshop too. And think of that garbage in the street, poles in the middle of the photo, dirty water in rivers, wires in the sky... but I guess it's all gifts of civilization just like Photoshop... so it's funny that we use a gift of civilization to get rid of reminders of other gifts of civilization to show the beauty of nature. *I'd better stop... I'm in some weird Philosophical mood*
I mean nature is amazing, it's sad when people stop being able to enjoy natural beauty *thinks of super enhanced lips ^^*.

You think of super enhanced lips?
I think you're right and I kind of didn't say what I wanted to. Of course it is fine to change some things on photographs like the things you mentioned, may it be back 'in the old days' or nowadays with PS. But I generally feel like people are overusing PS Lightroom etc. So I decided for myself, that I either make an amazing photo or upload it without editing or I didn't get what I wanted and need to try harder next time.

Super enhanced lips, super-enhanced photos, digital art with perfect proportions - all the same, seems like people don't treasure natural beauty anymore, we've become "greedy" somehow and nothing seems to be enough.

I understand what you say, but... sometimes you have to shot without thinking about exposure and stuff... and it' a shame not to share such unique photos even if the quality is not good.

Oooooh, now I get it ^^

you're absolutely right. We never get enough. We're all greedy bastards, as harsh as it may sound. And I am not excluding myself!

Who isn't?! We're all a part of society after all... but at least you can treasure a beauty of nature.
