Description
Lilyth is the First of the Betrayer Gods and is known as the Matron of Betrayal. Her actions caused the creation of the Archdevil Gladisia.

The story goes, that when her husband attempted to court another woman word got back to her. Reviled and embarrassed she swore to make him pay. One day she stagged a banquet in his honor, as her husband was mid-speech about how much he loved his wife. She attempted to place a dagger in his throat. But was unsuccessful.

Cast down from the Plane of Deities by her husband, she was banished to deeper parts of Underterra. Where she would lay waiting, contemplating, the injustice dealt to her. The more she waited the more her wrath grew and festered until it warped the Goddess into something unrecognizable.

However, one night she was rediscovered by prison miners who were collecting valuable gems for the Solaryn. When she was freed of her shackles, she guised herself into a beautiful woman, and promised them freedom. She empowered them to fight back against the guards of the mine asking only that they leave no survivors. They did as she instructed, and as she led them, they quickly accepted her as their Goddess. The mines conquered, the prisoners established a small settlement and began forming a society according to her instruction. Unlike her husband, she would be fair.

Unfortunately, Lilyth caught wind of a man attempting to stage a coup against their own council, led by her appointed priestess. Enraged and disgusted by the man's underhandedness, he reminded her of her husband. Lilyth dropped her guise and revealed her true form to her priestess. She warned that she had attempted to be fair and in turn they would waste the gifts that she gave them. She transformed her priestess from beautiful woman into a deadly warrior, and creature of darkness. Instilling her hate into her champion and molding her into her vision. The priestess became like that of a demon and brutally took leadership against her male counterparts.

Lilyth then commanded her to sacrifice the man at her alter where she would speak and command her cult. "Cull the men, find those who are loyal. Whoever does not become subservient to the priestess I have deemed my champion. Shall be sacrificed at my alter."

This is known as the "Night of Blood" as most men were killed in the event.
