Probably not a future girlfriend unfortunately, it looks like the dark haired wheelchair user has brought her boyfriend along, maybe to demonstrate that dating doesn't have to stop when you have an SCI. They could still be good friends though, would be great to see them out doing things together.
This scene is lovely for me, just as relevant as the other scenes, part of our main character (As she got a name yet, she needs a name.) learning how to live her new life. Her expression is wonderful, full of fear and apprehension, but inquisitive. She knows she will learn from the other girl, but she doesn't want to hear any of it really. Our girl looks really cute in her outfit too, beautiful.

As an aside, for a few of these images the nurses tunic/dress has been doing weird things at the bottom, some sort of red stripy effect, is there something going on here or is it just an effect of the material or something?

Don't worry about the nurses uniform, minor issue, and, well, the nurse is pretty hot too!
Oh, if the dude is just a fitness coach that leaves open other possibilities, and even the doctor. Can't wait to see how this evolves. Personally, Adaline and the new para would make a lovely pairing. That is all a little secondary to the main gig though, her story of becoming a para. This is brilliant so far, great little snapshots, we are all already captivated by her progress.
As for a name. I have a bit of a blindspot with names, girls names are just all cute. I look forward to finding out what you pick though.

Yeah, I understand rendering in good quality can be resource heavy. I did a bit of a pan and zoom in blender, and it took thirteen days straight.
