I just beat Borderlands 2 a few days ago with Axton and I have to say it was a hell of a ride.Keeping things relatively spoiler free here, I have to say they did a fine job of fleshing out the characters from the first game, but didn't really do your own characters much justice other than with a few audio logs strewn about the world for you to find.
The one I found for Axton was very interesting and gave a little insight into his past, and the reason for the ring around his neck, but that was it.
Anyway, before I spoil it, I felt inspired to sketch him out.
