Description Seceda (Italy), one of the most imposing mountain peaks I've seen. This is a popular ski area in the winter. It was one of the top spots I wanted to hit in the Alps. I had to take 2 gondolas up to this spot. It's an iconic viewpoint, and for good reason. I thought it looked more powerful and imposing in high contrast black and white.

Imposing is right - wow! The mountain peaks jut up and dare to capture the sky - the peak in the middle of the frame looks like a hand whose fingers of rock reach out to grasp the clouds.Β  The B&W shows off all the dynamic details - and is that houses I see dotting the mountainside! What and incredible place to live and to see! One road looks like it cuts across and then rides the edge of the mountain.

Very nice ! I love your choice of doing it in B&W. It gives to your picture something really different from the other ones of that place

this is actually a composite of 5 different images. i had SO much fog up there that i just set up for an hour and had it take a shot every 30 seconds. i grabbed a shot for the nice upper sky area, a shot for the peak, the light on the ground, the open area in the lower left and the base image. haha. lots of masking.
