Description I'm sooo excited to have gotten to do this cover for Moonstone. The Phantom is just one of the most recognized pulp characters world wide and it's really an honor to be working on this series.

This is the first of many, I hope. I will post the color scan here as well once it is wrapped. In addition, I have approvel to begin another and will feature that here as well.

Well, breakdowns took the longest part of it. After doing that I passed them by Michael Golden for him to give me some recommendations on how to tweak it up a bit. Maybe eight hours total between that and doing reference on the AK-47's and such. Inks were not so long for me. What you see here is the raw scan. I have spent a few hours today going through and cleaning up lines in photoshop to begin colors. I understand now why Michael and others do digital inks. Gets rid of the clean up time.
