If I'm going to compare Hector to an already existing character of some kind.....It would be Buddy from the movie "Open Season." He's.......well, let's face it, a bit unsavory to the touch due to the mud that gets EVERYWHERE and will break your electronics, ruin your papers, and so forth. Plus he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He likes making "buddies" as well. His current buddy list, at the time of this comic, is: Name, Eli, Loki, and Kero-these are the confermed one. Knaw may/may not be on the list seeing as he hugged Hector, but then again Knaw's just friendly. CB>

Anyway, basically this is a "meme" of sorts that I'm hoping'll catch on. The basic run down of it is: A three panel comic(if you want, add more, I don't care) with Hector popping up somewhere(be it from under a desk, inside a cuboard, from behind the character, out of nowhere, some other thing) and he will ask if the character(s) will be his friend by saying "Buddy?" with a little heart. He is to then be denied in some form(be it the character walking off or punching him in the face, or go ahead and break it by having them say ok) because they don't want to be his friend/are buisy at the moment/don't want to deal with him/some other thing. He will then go "Baww..." with a broken heart, or depending on how you do it the baw will turn into say "Ba-OWWWWWW" should he be hurt, or "Ba-wuh?" if they confuse him somehow(if he's accepted as a "buddy" he'll still "Baw" but the heart shouldn't be broken.) I guess when you get to the chore it's a bit like the "nyoro~n" comics only with a different constant character and words.

I chose Al and Arnold for the demo strips(with space filling Hector asking for friendship) because they're the drama teachers and thus the teachers Hector will work with the most since he's the assistant director. I appologose in advance for butchering Arnold Boo, I have a hard time drawing such manry-ness. <8F

Oh, and shitty space filling cross hatching is shitty.
