Description in 2005, Christopher Nolan re-invented the character with Batman Begins set in a dark modern-era Gotham. Michael Caine was Alfred and Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon and Morgan Freeman was Lucius Fox.

The Dark Knight followed in 2008 with the late Heath Ledger as the Joker and Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent I.E Two-Face

Then in 2013 the final installment , The Dark Knight Rises features Anne Hathaway at Catwoman and Tom Hardy as Bane.

No the cast was right i just don't like the whole modern era stuff and it just got too dark for me. Heath Ledger was really good and I think he stole the show much like Nicholson did

What is wrong with dark? 

Frank Miller reinvented him and Nolan adapted Frank Miller's kick-ass vision of Batman for the screen and also adapted Killing Joke for TDK

I know but to me it just lost some of the charm that the comics had. My faves were the Tim Burton movies....and I know it's only 2 movies. Its more because I'm a marvel guy myslef

yeah. It's weird because when i watch Spider-Man it never bothers me but when I watch Batman it does. I think it because Batman originals gave off the comic book feel

it was a turn off point for me. I like Begins and then after The Dark Knight I said no and followed Spider-Man more

yeha, its was okay [begins was refreshing[]  TDK is overrate and ahd soem good things to it, tises was meh.

Well as much as the modern era doenst bother me in most superhero films it does where Batman is involved. There's not sense of the comic book in these new ones when I watch them
