It was past midnight, and Kratos Aurion was thirsty. With the wooden floor creaking under him, he exited his rented room and headed downstairs.

Not noticing any employees to serve him, Kratos stalked into the kitchen. "Well, it is quite late," he mused to himself about the absence of people.

As he finally found a clean glass and was about to turn the faucet on, a dim light flashed in his peripheral vision.

"What in the world...?" he thought to himself, and looked down by his left hand.

And then, all was silent...
