Fella seemed too weird looking to have a normal backstory.
Herr Llama emperor sends Fella to care for his people, because he's only one person. It's hard ruling llamas. Especially when they're being eaten by Catdragons.

I found out about this contest a little late in the game, I had a sick day today, voila. Rushed comic. Thankfully, I've wondered about this before and had something previously concocted. So there you have it! A VERY CONDENSED/RUSHED VERSION OF MY FELLA HYPOTHESIS. He cares for the Llama people (us) every day, and lives off of bugs. The bug finders on this site are here for the sole purpose of feeding Fella. I'm sure of it.

If I had more time, I'd make the shading all super fancy and fix the colors. Got this in minutes before the contest ended. Whew. XD

Actually... I just realized I had one more day. THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH MIDNIGHT DEADLINES. Derp.
