i really like this, i have not read the book, but i have seen the movie, it was good, but i didnt really understand it, and i know that it is the book/autobiography of the author, so, i think i will read the book when i get a chance

+oh, read it by all means. it is a tough one, supposedly written through his heroin addiction... everything desintegrates and mutates, and everything is dirty and corrupt and hopeless. i had to take small breaks while reading it, i must say. the movie is quite a free version, half autobiographical facts and half from the actual book. enjoy.+

I somehow agree with someone who said that was waiting for the characters to be naked, but assuming I liked the whole deviation as it is, it can not be that bad.

+i remember that painting (i did double-check, some things might slip my old mind but i did get it right). yes, the elongated body... but this was done mainly with elements chosen from the book (did you read it? read one third, take two aspirin, go for a walk around the block and then read the second third, take two...). i am not worthy of the comparison. nor of your comments.+
