I bet people are wondering why I did this picture, but then for some of you, the answers will be answered.

So you may be wondering how Reid was originally made.

The reason why I did this picture is because I recently had a couple of comments (not rude ones, don't worry) about my comics with Reid the Hedgena in it, and don't worry, I'm actually glad these people mention this. So this picture is based on my cousin's character Reid the Hedgena.

The first comment was about the Kiss of Halloween Night (if no one read that comic it was about Blaze, Amy and Cream trick or treating) which is suppose to have Reid kissing Blaze, but someone thought it was Sonic kissing Blaze and that he should be kissing Amy, I don't blame this person because this person did had a point, it could have been, but it wasn't and it was a very confusing comic, sorry about that.

The second one was a couple weeks ago, again another comic about Reid the Hedgena (this comic was for my cousin's birthday), it was about Sonic not getting a present for Blaze, and he knocks out Reid and gives him to Blaze. Again this was not my idea, my cousin wanted me to do this. And the comment this time was about Shadow being the birthday present, which again I was surprised about this, and I had to mention to this person that this was Reid not Shadow.

So how was Reid the Hedgena born and why?

It all started a few years ago (before I came to deviantart), when I first made my sonic character Rebecca the Hedgefox (she was my first fan character ever made), my cousin saw the character and he thought it was good, during this time, a fan series of Sonic the Hedgehog was made, talking about Nazo, and it shows an appearance of Shadic (half Sonic, half Shadow), so weeks later, my cousin came up to me and told me to make a character for him that has fists like Knuckles but like Shadic, I did the idea and ever since then, Reid has been showing up in many pictures because he suggested me to do this.

This is not a request, this is actually an idea that came into my head.

But the ideas about Shadic and the official sonic characters are not mine
