yes..here we are with rarijack LOL and my interpretations of them
i think Applejack's mane looks better brown, and realistically since she's in the sun all day it would
turn darker anyway so ? i think she probably was born with blonde hair and over all the days in the field it got darker and darker, but you can still see the streaks of gold in there :0c
as for Rarity, she has the little speckles like Applejack does since her father seems to be a country pony....ehehe
soon we shall see their lovely little babies...who knows i might get them finished today!

Actually hair turns lighter in the sun because your hair is technically dead and can not reproduce melanin, but then again we are talking about magical candy colored horses haha

gonna throw in my two cents too lol. my hair gets super blonde (streaks) after sun exposure and i have really dark brown hair (for context my dad has black hair and my mom red/blonde)
i actually have weird chunks of blonde hair that i never would have noticed in winters
but i looove ur applejack, i also picture her more broad + w+

Oh strange! I'm a brunette so I wouldn't really know, perhaps the body starts making hair with more melanin in the summer (or in Florida's case all year long-) to try and protect your scalp better? :0c
