An AU following Petalkit as she lives alone on the edges of clan territory, haunted by both of her parents as they try to influence her for their own gain. But they are also bothering Nettlebreeze, a young ThunderClan warrior. He blames himself for Mapleshade's murders. Appledusk encourages this. Eventually all four of them, 2 ghosts and 2 unlikely heros, confront in the very same place Mapleshade murdered Appledusk. Petalkit has to decide whether to kill to save her friend, or avoid continuing her mother's legacy at all costs. Similarly, Mapleshade is torn. Does she groom her innocent daughter to follow in her pawsteps? Harming her? Or does she turn her back on the cause she died for?
