Yep! Toola-Roola's original design (at the time of this movie's production) was a dark magenta color with a green and white mane. I actually prefer her old design, since she doesn't look exactly like Rarity. Also, the colors in this picture are really light, g3 Rarity had a bit darker body.

In cartoons, Rarity's mane is not as detailed as Toola Roola's.
Toola Roola's coat color is paler than Rarity's.
Rarity's tail colors are green, light blue and purple, while Toola Roola's tail colors are turquoise, blue and purple.
It looks like Hasbro took the name of a totally different-looking pony named Toola Roola mlp.imagesofher.com/pictures/T… and slapped it on a design ripped off Rarity.

I'd really like to know what goes through Hasbro execs heads sometimes.
"And for the next batch of shorts, we're going to put a Cheerilee who's inexplicably not a unicorn anymore and now looks just like Cherry Blossom in the main cast."

I think I prefer this Rarity. Don't get me wrong, I love G4 Rarity. I just think G3 Rarity is more interesting.

I hate it how on "Behind The Voice Actors" G3 and G4 Raritys have the same page, same with Sweetie Belles, Rainbow Dashes, Pinkie Pies, Scootaloos and Cheerilees.

It's kinda weird that G3 Rarity was similar to G1 Applejack but G4 Rarity is similar to G3 Rainbow Dash.
