A portrait of the one and only, completely miserable Grayson DeLone. His backstory is kind of a downer.

When he was growing up his father wasn't there physically and his mother wasn't there to act as a mother to Grayson and his older brother of 3 years, Michael, as she was an alcoholic and often left Michael and Grayson when she took a break from abusing them both verbally. Michael often took his hurt and rage from his mother out on Grayson. Despite this, Grayson always looked up to him and adored him despite all the times when Michael would ignore him or put him down at home or when Grayson tagged along with his friend because he didn't have any of his own. When he was 15, he and Michael were messing around on the deck of their family's Chicago apartment when Michael (who was very drunk at the time) began balancing on the railing. In trying to get Michael off of the railing, Grayson accidentally knocked him off balance and Michael plummeted to his death. Grayson dived after him in an effort to grab his ankle and pull him back but Grayson slipped and fell off the railing as well. However, he was caught by a spirit and lifted back into life. The spirit, as a result of saving him, turned him into an angel of death- immortal beings that are responsible for carrying souls out of the living and into death. They are meant to be conditioned to never show emotion, and have a variety of punishments inflicted on them for actions that show emotions, resulting in the tear-like scars on Grayson's cheeks (he cried/cries a lot, and as an angel each tear cuts the face). Through all of his years carrying departed souls, he befriended a Japanese detective belonging to an elite international detective agency, and in turn also befriended Aleks (belonging to Nekothebro )- whom was related to the victim of a murder the detective was working to solve. When the detective was killed himself, Aleks and Grayson came to have a close bond with each other. A couple years later when Aleks got a job in London teaching, Grayson was able to meet a priestess living in the same complex they moved into and was able to have the demon exorcized. He now spends his days taking an online high school to get his diploma so he can get a higher education, living with Aleks in London, although struggles with constant depression.

The symbols are pretty self-explanatory, it should be mentioned that the colour plaette is in near grayscale not only because of Grayson's personality/state of mind, but also because as an angel he was colourblind in that he saw the world in black and white. Although he does see colour now, the brilliance seems not to matter.
