"I don't like sweets," muttered Gaara as he watched the pink-haired girl approach with two sticks of colourful dango clasped in her hands.
"Have you tried these before?"
"It's none of your business."
"Don't judge them before trying them," Sakura replied with a smile, sticking the dango in Gaara's stubborn mouth. "How is it?"
There was a pause as Gaara thought about how ridiculous he looked with the stick of dango in his mouth. He quickly pulled it out, chewing a bit before swallowing, eyes closed in thought.
"...now you've done it," he said, anger tinging his voice.
"Ah?"
"I need something better to get rid of this taste in my mouth."
He leaned closer; she could feel his warm breath on her face. Their lips touched shyly for a slight second. Curious, Gaara explored the inside of her mouth hesitantly before pulling away. He paused for a moment of thought before walking away.
"Thanks for the sweets, though," he said, back facing her. He disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Recovering from the surprise, Sakura noticed that her own stick of dango had fallen in the dirt. Her heated cheeks still flaming a bright pink, she ran after the red-headed sand ninja.
"Gaara, come back here! You owe me dango!"

What a lame background story.
I usually make it a rule never to have Gaara blushing, but I couldn't stop myself from using the brush to add that little tint of pink. This was my first time drawing him, and I do like how he turned out. His hair looks more like it's in the process of growing the very sexy mullet of doom though.

The only problem I really have with this drawing is Sakura's eyes which I went over in Photoshop, and my chunky line art. I only have one pen that is 0.25, a little too big for my taste. It's also on the verge of running out of ink, so I had to go over a lot of my lines while inking. I'm going to get some better ones tomorrow, I hope.
