Nice Warwick Castle is a pretty sweet place to visit I was there in April of last year- for the first time in nearly ten years! It hadn't changed all that much- except that it was a LOT busier...

Seems my timing is abysmal (no surprise there) cos I missed the birds, the trebuchet being fired, and I was too early in the year for the jousting Oh well... maybe next time!

They have an even larger eagle?! Wow! They are a thing of beauty, aren't they?

Gutted! I'm lucky as I live just a 10min walk from the castle, but just don't have the time to go there at the moment

Did you ever see the vulture they had there? It sadly passed away a while back, but was an incredible thing to see flying....its wing span was 8 or 9 foot across! You should try and come see the jousting at night, they also fire a fire ball from the trebuchet which is really cool to see

Never got to see the vulture And sure sounds like I want ever get to now!

I would very much like to visit the castle again... the fireball being fired from the trebuchet sounds quite awesome- not to mention the jousting! But- alas! I live in Australia... so I won't be there again anytime soon You will just have to enjoy it on my behalf

Wow! I would love to visit Australia with my camera! Next time they open at night for jousting and fireballs I will try getting some good photos and would happily email you some

That would be lovely!

You would have a wonderful time with your camera over here No castles though... but jousting does occur from time to time at Ren Faires and the like... Guess that will have to suffice for me for the time being!

Perhaps I ought to construct my own trebuchet? That would certainly keep the neighbours at bay
