A Couple Changeling HeadcanonsThe Good Queen from before the legacy of Chrysalis, whom I have dubbed Queen Katydid. She suffered a questionable death, and her daughter was thrust into power before she completed her transformation. And so the Changelings fell.

And yes, very suspiciousΒ Β There was much controversy over her devotion to the Changelings' alliance with the Crystal ponies. Even then, there was some unease in the way of interspecies relationships and socialization. Some of her subjects didn't support her decisions at all, as well as some Crystal ponies too. It was never known if her death was vengeful or from illness (lack of technology and such), or if it was the former, who killed her.

Hmm maybe it was a form of biological warfare? If she died due to illness it could have been a pathogen harvested by a rebelling group... I dunno if they could have the technology, but magic is good in a pinch
I'm in love with the ideas too *nervously giggles* I've been meaning to upload my headcanon but I'm lazy and can't be bothered to draw properly
