I apologize for the late critique.
With that said, what a damn cool idea this is. It's well outside of what I know how to do myself, which is unfortunate, because I can't really give you any hints, tips, pointers or advice, for I am not very good at manipulation. I can just go ahead and tell you what I like, dislike, and see in the piece. I hope it will suffice e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile) - "/>
First off - I'm not a huge sci-fi fan, myself, I don't generally browse for it, or actively seek it out, but when I see neat little concepts like this one, I am very pleased. The universe is so vast and unknown, it's nice to put something everybody can relate to into it, if that makes sense. The spray can is such a fantastic little touch - it really made me smile when I got here and full viewed this e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile) - "/>
The only thing that really kind of bothers my eye, and I feel bad saying it, since I can't do even half this myself, is how it appears that the rip doesn't mesh as well with the rest of the surrounding stock images as the astronaut does, though he is too close to the side of the rend in space as well, he manages to blend in with the background far better then the opening does. The overlying idea and execution of this piece blocks that out, to me, though, so I can hardly complain. If you were to touch it up, ever, I'd suggest finding a way to make the outline of the tear blend in a little better though, it's sharper and feels more fake then the rest of the picture. Only on a close stare though - a glance, and it's just perfect e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile) - "/>
So, again, thank you for asking me to take a look at this. I am sorry that my knowledge of photo-manipulation is so limited, I really wish I could have given you a few helpful ideas, but I am happy to have had the chance to see this, it's quite uplifting, and a quirky, cute idea.

Awesome.
That's the worst thing with photo manipulation. If the photos you're using have different lighting, focus and whatnot, then it's hard to get them to look as if they belong in the same space, and not just pasted on top, lol.

It reminds me of a certain Japanese anime movie, just wish I could think of the title... Well done!
