Absol is my favorite pokemon, so I wanted to draw my buddy rocking some lightning. I actually have a head cannon that only electric type pokemon can create yellow lightning with electric attacks. Pokemon that can learn electric type moves, but are not electric types themselves, have lightning that vary in different colors. Since Absol is a dark type I decided to use the blue/purple lightning often seen in thunder storms instead of yellow or white.
