Description A city of intrigue, guilds, and canals. The City of Bridges has the great river Briaros which springs forth from the mountains running through its streets, serving both as a road for the many barges and small boats, as well as a natural irrigation well for the city's farmlands in the valley. Heavily farmed and trafficked, it is still formidable nonetheless. The city is built on top of an ascending hill, backed by high mountains, and surrounded by 3 walls.

For Dnd:
The PC's may adventure here for any number of reasons, given that the city is on the frontier and heavily trafficked by adventurers of every race, creed, and affiliation. Though originally a strong fortress, it has grown into more of a population zone. The port brings wares from other nations, and may carry PC's to other destinations. Also a home for the Templars of Helm as well as many other religious as well as military orders, though the inner workings of the city are run by the various trade guilds. The city is unique in the fact that the land owners, of which many are a majority of poorer farmers and not the rich trade guild owners, have banded together into a guild of representatives, and have a strong say in running of the city as well as the electing of a beneficial leader.

This city is worth the print, and would be a lovely addition to any campaign.

Very interesting map.

The way the river flows through the city makes for very interesting streets - I'm just a bit surprised about one little piece of the city walls - there the river flows out of the city into the open, only to shortly after that enter the walls again towards the protected farmland. It seems like maybe the biggest weakness in the whole city's defenses as that water could be poisoned by determined attackers, causing difficulties for part of the protected farms.

That is just a minor point, and I guess for adventure use that makes it more interesting as it gives the players a point to either defend or infiltrate if needed.
