You know, i actually wasn't sure about that. I know that in ww1 and 2, they didn't, but i also knew that the japanese would shoot them just like they were regular soldiers. In Nam' and Korea, and the other conflicts, i wasn't sure if they carried, but i figured in the fututre, with battlfield conditions growing more deadly, that they would need armor and some form of protection rather than none. thanks for the comments though...

You know. I got out in '94. I don't know how it is now, but my last Duty was Medic, and we were supposd to leave our iron in the vehicle, under guard, and if the shit hit the fan, we'd go to town, (as we were all primary Infantry-Airbourne). I was just noticing, and really not sure how it's done now a days.
