Description
Got another updated reference sheet for another OC of mine, this time for a lil fiery bean.
This is Coron.
Species: Fire Drake (Dragon term for a normal four-legged dragon)
Relatives: Mykah (Father), Thrudd (Mother), Elio (Brother), Dappleflame (Sisters), Vanir (Adopted Father), Zara (Adopted Mother), Tasha (Adopted Sister) Scratchfeather (Adopted Sister), Skybolt (Adopted Uncle), Rainshadow (Adopted Aunt), Von (Adopted Uncle)
Coron was born into a clanless family, raised by his parents; Mykah and Thrudd alongside his brother, Elio and his sister, Dappleflame. Though they had no clan, Coron’s family managed to live a happy normal life within the forests of the Northern Isles. However, it all came crashing down when some hostile intruders belonging to a large invasive clan arrived and killed Mykah, Thrudd, and their children when they refused to submit and join their ranks. However, Coron managed to escape and hid in small hiding areas that adult dragons and most predators wouldn’t be able to fit in. For a couple days, he lived off of insects and small rodents to sustain himself, as he wasn’t experienced nor big enough to hunt normal prey. That was, until one day, he comes across a wounded black dragon washed up from the river. This dragon’s name was Vanir, whom originated from King Azeros’ clan. Coron’s always been a cheerful soul, so seeing a friendly face was nice change from this life of trauma and loneliness. Vanir wasn’t quite sure what to do with the young dragonet at first, but let him tag along, not wanting to leave a child in the middle of nowhere. During his recovery, Vanir eventually found what remained of Coron’s family, horrified at what he saw. Burying the bodies, he promises their spirits that he would take care of Coron and that was a promise he was going to keep. Eventually, Vanir and his mate, Zara adopted young Coron into their family.
Coron is a young cheerful child with a passion for adventure, even if he’s merely a spectator to whatever events are occurring. However, he is usually stubborn and uncooperative when it comes to staying put and not being involved in some things. This usually results in Coron getting himself into trouble, if not, caught in dangerous crossfire of a battle. Vanir would order him to find a safe place to reside until he returned, as Vanir’s quests would be considered “too dangerous” for such a small child. Yet, Coron will secretly follow him anyway, despite being told multiple times not to. He claims to be braver than he really is, though his courage does improve over time.
P.S. The large dark brown spot on his nose is a birthmark.
