Description
Nothing better after a long day slaying, resting with booze and boobs.I always liked the Renaissance way of painting. All those warm colours thanks to painting in candlelight.
I used a reference for all these delicious colours. Not that good yet to get the tones right. Need a lot more to learn.

Thanks for all the critique guys. Always appreciated. I've edited out a bit of things you said. I don't know what else i would do to it. I'm afraid of overdoing it.
Unfortunately this is where my skill ends.

Rembrandt meets Dungeons and Dragons. Not a bad choice.
If I have anything to remark upon, it's that you could've dared more with the contrasts. It has nice highlights, but looks very murky. I know that is how Renaissance painting look now, but it certainly wasn't what they looked like when newly painted.
Just some science of oil paint for you.
Everything else is awesome. You are progressing fast, and I am sincerely impressed.

I am not sure about the contrasts. My screen is apparently different. I have such contrast that it burns me. So i checked over at another pc it seemed fine!
I can't think of a way to increase it without using black. Im trying to avoid black :>
The colours are a bit muddy around the edges... but i kinda tried to focus the eye to the mid with the blue. Not the best choice but...
I fixed it up a bit now... I hope its better.

I like the color work for his skin. And the highlights and aging on the armor.

It seems to be missing something.... like a naked Seimei draped over that sexy fellow. What's a brothel without naked flesh? Hehe.
I absolutely adore the brush strokes and warmer tones. And as always, you paint metals like no one else I know. The shine, the fur trim, the cloth. It's fantastic. Your such a boss as textures. Heh. The only thing that looks a bit off is his skin. Something about it, it feels a bit..less refined? then the rest of the piece. There is such delicious contrast in his armor and the cloth he's sitting on, it makes his flesh look a little bland. Maybe a few harsher edges and lines in the face would help even things out? Over all though? This is fuckin' awesome. Hehe.

YES. I love it. His head stands out much more now and it looks great. The heavy shadow at the back of his head and the bright highlight on top of his head make him pop out at you. Most excellent. 8)
