Description Human Holidays

Bumblebee yawned loudly and sat up. The sound of Sam and his father returning had woken him for a very pleasant dream. But the sight of Sam was more than enough to make up for it.

Though he couldn’t help but feel a wave of confused worry press down on him when he took note of the bulky packages Sam was carrying into the room. They had the very strong and unpleasant smell of gun powder.

“S-Sam, What are those?” asked Bumblebee, tilting his head to the side.

“Fireworks,” answered Sam, setting the boxes down on the table with a loud bang. He stepped back and wiped his brow.

“What are fireworks?” probed Bumblebee, still not liking the smell coming off of them.

Sam sighed and flopped down on the couch beside Bumblebee. “They’re expensive wastes of money, but pretty funny. They blow up.”

Bumblebee’s eyebrows knit together as he tried to understand what Sam had just said. “But – didn’t you tell me only the military is allowed to you explosives?”

“Well, yeah, that is true. But these are very low grade, most of them anyway. They are only dangerous if they go wrong. They aren’t like the ones you use or Lennox’s group uses. They’ll just stuff normal people can buy.” Explained Sam, smiling as he fought not to laugh.

“Guess we’re going to be scaring a lot of birds this year,” chuckled Sam’s father as he came through the door carrying the last of the boxes.

“You better believe it,” Sam laughed.

Bumblebee shook his head slowly. “I still don’t understand.”

“You’ll see tonight.” Sam murmured, wrapping his arms around the other boy’s waist. He almost died with laughter when his father made a quick getaway.

--

Far away from Sam and Bumblebee, another Pretender was also contemplating low grade explosives. Only he was staring at them with a mixture of amusement and nervous fear.
“Frenzy?” questioned Barricade as he stared at the younger. “What are those and how did you buy them?”

“They’re fireworks, and I’m a hacker.” Replied Frenzy as he dropped the boxes on the floor. He sprang back to his feet and rushed over to Barricade, with a bright grin he threw his arms around him, pressed a sloppy kiss to his cheek, stepped away, picked one of the packages up and rushed out the room, leaving Barricade to muse over the explosives on the floor before him, and hyper active decepticons.

--

“Hey, Boss man!” shouted Frenzy, throwing a small box at the red head.

Starscream looked up just in time to take the box to the front of his face. He let out a string of curses and rubbed the growing bump on his forehead. “Frenzy!” but the teenager had already vanished.

Looking down, Starscream was surprised to find that the thing that’d smashed into his face was a box of firecrackers. He chuckled and shook his head.

--

Frenzy ducked into Blackout’s bedroom and tossed a pack of sparklers to the dark eyed decepticon.

Blackout looked up from the repair job he was doing on his arm. “What are these for?” he asked.

“For tonight,” explained Frenzy. He dashed out of the room, laughing.

Blackout looked down and scanned the package of firecrackers. “Did he rig them to blow up on me?” he wondered aloud.

“I won’t do that!” shouted Frenzy from the doorway.

Blackout sighed and set them on his desk, near all the still-to-be-completed paperwork.
One could wish.

--

Sam grabbed Bumblebee by the hand and steered him outside. “Okay, now watch.” He said. He picked up a box style firework and set it down in the street. Lighting the fuse, he ran back to where Bumblebee was standing.

“It’ll be loud, so don’t freak out.” He grabbed the Autobot’s gun hand just to be careful.

The firework boomed loudly as it exploded into the sky, a wave of multicolored sparks fell slowly through the sky before fizzling out.

Bumblebee’s mouth fell open. He tilted his head all the way back and watched with delight as another exploded into the sky.

Barricade laughed as he sat on the rooftop, watching the latest firework Frenzy had sent into the sky.

“I’ve got to admit,” said Starscream, sitting down beside the others, “As human holidays go...I like this one.”

“Only cause you get to blow things up,” snorted Blackout. He titled his head back and watched the shower of red sparks. “Though, it is interesting- For a race that hates fighting... celebrating freedom by exploding things seems...”

“Silly?” volunteered Frenzy.

“Silly,” agreed Blackout.

--

Ironhide, Optimus, and Ratchet all stood on the landing strip of the base. Watching Lennox and Epps exploded fireworks.

“This is a strange way to celebrate.” Chuckled Optimus.

“Strange but fun,” laughed Ironhide, grinning brightly.

Ratchet shrugged his shoulders. “As long as they don’t go blowing themselves up that is.”

My dad cooked hotdogs and hamburgers (during a lightning storm no less lol,) had family over (my three older sister, their kids, and husbands.) and then lit off some fireworks.

Think hell, but only hotter ^_~ Nah, Florida isn't bad, it's just very, very, very hot during the summer, and once you get used to the heat, the cold hits you like a slap in the face. It's cold here when we hit the low 70s (but I love that weather so it's nice for me.) We're having a wicked summer though. 90s but feels like it's in the 100s.
Also, I know they say FL is the sunshine state, but don't count on it during the summer. It rains every afternoon (for the most part) and it's likely to storm at night as well.
It's a real pain when you try to plan outdoor things. Weather rules the day here. Heat, rain, thunder, and lighting. The four things to remember about Fl lol. I've lived here since I was 2 years old, so it's really home sweet home.

the lowest we've ever gotten since I've lived here is the 20s during the middle of winter, but it really depends on where you live. I live on the coast and we get the breeze coming off the ocean so it does help, or it makes it horrible.
My sis lives beachside and it's pretty nice during the summer, cooler. But the further inland you are the hotter (or colder during the winter) inland gets really cold during winter. But no ice or snow in Fl, it's snowed twice since I was 2 but it's little flakes that don't stick around because even if the air is cold enough, the ground is always too warm.

It is nice here, I guess. Don't ask my about the sights and stuff you can go see though. Almost 17 years in Fl and the most I've done is the theme parks, zoos, and some local things near me. lol. That always seems to shock people when they ask "Hey have you gone to Miami?"
No, I wouldn't go to Miami because it's crowded and not the best area. The closest I've gotten is Boca Raton for an AFI concert I went to (Love the band, hate going to see them live because the people go who. It was crazy, and too over the top for me lol).

Tampa is nice too, I spend time in Saint Petersburge when my niece was born. (She was sick and had to be born over at their childrens hospital, one of the best in the state.) If you're ever in the area over there, make a trip across the Sunshine Bridge (I think that's what it's called.) It's the tallest bridge in Fl, and to get to Saint Petersburge you cross one of the longest bridges across water (The Keys have a longer bridge by far.) But the sunshine bridge is large enough for cargo and cruise ships to pass underneath. I'm scared of heights, but that was amazing ^_^

True, but my niece had to be born there because of a snot load of birth defect. I think that kid has over twenty thousand in med bills in just the first two weeks of her life.
She's such a great baby now though ^_^
I love seeing my sisters' kids, I'll probably adopt after I'm 25 (the age that people can adopt in Fl is 25 I think.)

And you've got to go to universal! It's one of my favorite theme parks (I have a season pass along with my nephew.)

Yes she is. I'm having a blast watching it. I was there when she was born and was basically a blob (not by choice. The doctor's had to keep her knocked out for almost two weeks because of her problems.) And now she's the little doll who is chatting away with her 'angels' as we call the random thin air she likes to chat with lol
