Great picture. Captures like this are once in a lifetime. Nature doesn't lend herself to posing very often.

This is an great moment captured, the way you've focused it is excellent, I can't help but it and have nothing to critique about it.

Bit more offtopic

Would you say the 30D does it's use today, or would it be a "wrong" camera to buy at this time?

it all depands on what are your needs...
it is a really grate camera, i been at Nikon and after i used D70s i turnd to 30D. I love to canon colors more.
There always gonna' be a better one (aka 5D or 1Ds Mark II).
But i think if you are not a professional yet, the 30D will be a great choise for u, until the 40D anyway.
It feels more professional then the 400D/Rebel Serise, and dose the job better.
If you with Canon and not a pro yet , 30D is for you, but u got some extra cash then 5D got a FF Sensor.

Good luck, and if you need some more help you can always ask for it.

Alex

Great FOD controll. I think in this situation FOD is good enough.

Brilliant Of course it might have been better with more DOF, but you can only do what the situation allows...
