Well it helps to learn about this stuff. I already mentioned this was a project for one of my college classes.

You're my art role model okay
okay thanks
But seriously I was gonna take art 2 this year and they switched it out of my schedule for health, the fiends. I was really excited, even if we weren't going to spend all day every day drawing the Beatles. Because I know little to nothing about art in general.

a-awwww ;w;

Well if you're really serious about learning how to do "the art thing", there's no harm in doing personal research when education doesn't do it for you. if i see a certain pose done in a tv show or movie that i can't figure out how to draw, i search for different figure poses on the internet. Also, a wooden figurine helps majorly for stuff like that, in fact many artists (amateurs and professionals alike) use this thing as reference in figuring out how to draw poses: thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/victor… You can find it in just about any store that sells art supplies.
Deviantart also has tons of helpful tutorials and reference sheets, and even some models who's purpose is to provide photos of different poses to give artists something to work off of (a lot like the wooden figurine, but more than often an artist needs to see life in the pose they're trying to find).

I bought one of the little wooden figurines about a year ago and the hand broke off XD
I tried to draw with it but I wasn't very good, but I think if I would've tried a bit longer and got the hang of it, I'd have been better. Unfortunately, now it's lost in the depths of my closet.

Ah, well again if the figurine doesn't suit you, there are many tutorials on DA. My favorite artist, Mark Crilley, has a Youtube channel dedicated to making tutorials and speedpaints. You should check him out someday.
