Please tell me that you're going to continue this storyline. I hate it when an artist finally gets a character into a FBC and then we never see her again, and I'd love to see Marta trying to communicate with her nurses.Β

I hadn't intended to continue this, but I can be persuaded.
On one hand, I don't really care for FBCs and I find multiple pictures of the same character doing the same thing (nothing) kind of repetitive and boring -- Rizzo said this quite well in this comment . On the other hand, it's also easier and quicker to stage a follow-up picture since there isn't as much that can change.
I'll see what I can do, but no promises about when.

Cool, and thank you in advance. I get that there isn't a whole lot you can do once a person gets into a FBC, but given her situation, just something where she's obviously awake and trying to get someone to let her out would be very much appreciated.Β

Is that cast over the mouth selfmade? It looks brilliant.

Thanks! Yes, I made this 3D cast model myself, though I used Rizzo's textures for the padding and fiberglass.

That will be a very rude awaking for Marta or better, the new patient in 108Β
Possible, that she will learn, what it mean, to be dependent on the help of other persons and what it mean if she get this help without any expectationΒ
But now she is where she belongs, in a nice full bodycast, with no possibility, to talk to anybodyΒ

Yes, I think this could be quite informative for her, and could make her a much more empathetic nurse.
I wonder what Marta's new nurses will think of her frenzied attempts to communicate. They may realize that she's not happy about being trapped in her cast, but her file clearly says that it was her idea to be put in this cast, to let her joints settle for a little while

Maybe they will only declare the patient in 108 as reluctant or yet still rather as crazyΒ

Oh. My. You most certainly did not disappoint!
Marta is stuck for good until someone decides to let her out. And with what looks like an official/proper file in the system for the 'new patient' it could be quite some time beyond the nurses two week guesstimate before things get figured out, if ever.
I do agree with CastedCreatures - Including the fingers and toes either completely or with supporting plates under then would make it that much harder for the individual. Having them free does not give them anything useful in such a situation and works just fine; but including them psychologically increases the feeling of helplessness they experience.

Do you feel like 'acknowledging your presence' is unusual?

I was kinda making a joke. I rarely get comments on my artwork; let alone get mentioned in a comment.

Thanks! She could indeed be stuck like that for a long time.
I thought of including the fingers/toes, and I had a version of this 3D model that has those additions, but I hit some practical issues with importing the model into DAZ Studio and converting it to a wearable item. I know of at least one way to get around that, but it would have involved recreating the cast from scratch, and I wasn't motivated enough to do that.

Thanks, I like it! Though to be pedantic, Marta isn't in the psych ward and her old coworkers wouldn't have any reason to see her in a professional capacity.

What's "BS"?
It's good to see, that there is no further use of the nasogastric word.
(But the word is great. I will have to use this in the near future in every day life and not in connection with body/face/mouth casts...)

"Bullshit". I try not to use as many acronyms or abbreviations as I normally would, to be more accommodating to people who speak/read English as a second language, but apparently that one slipped through
I suppose it isn't nearly as bad to use medical acronyms, since those are usually easy to search for (e.g., everyone usually says "NG tube" instead of "nasogastric tube", and a quick Google search for the acronym shows exactly what that means).
