Maybe part of a lost frames series? This is back from 2006, when i was still shooting film...
I was inspired by =Ockie to post this. Its one of the only eye contact shots I ever took, so its something special.
I dont know why i never posted it, I really like it.

Very brave- I'm so shy with taking photos of others, I'd just die if I took one like this. It's gorgeous! Someday I'll conquer my demons and do more street photography...

Eye contact can be really hard to make... nice work.
At the moment its really a bit of a problem to me to be noticed or get eye contact when shooting street, even if it can result in a strong capture.

Somewhat ironic, for him to be sitting right across from something almost real, and having something somewhat fictitious sitting by his side. A source of comfort, if that were possible, when the coveted cannot be had.
