2018 saved the best anime for last. Episode 6 of SSSS Gridman is where I realized how much I loved the show. Even more references to old Ultraman shows, references to Transformers obscurities, references to mecha anime in general, and an adorable little kaiju daughter I want to protect. Made me love Gridman so much I had to start a podcast about it.Related content

mmm.... ive heard that one before but considering that shattered glass primus is a major antagonist (pretty much unicron's personnality in primus' body) while anosilas is not, ive got doubts about that comparison.
besides, if its about the colors, shattered glass primus has the colors of Energon's unicron
that also leaves the music note unaccounted for and ive got a feeling that its a major part of the reference, if theres one.
kinda like utsumi and his slashed purple symbol on his shirt like sideswipe's slashed autobot symbol.

And that finale, so good! I feel if I had watched the original Gridman I would have felt more pumped, but still quite epic!
