Description What a difference a day makes. Yesterday morning it was windy but bright, and I went for a walk with my parents around the local lake (I was at home for the weekend). Just a day later the wind is still with us, but it's now accompanied by pouring rain that's being driven almost sideways at times.

So, on an extremely wet day across most of the UK here's something to cheer you up a bit: the warm colours of autumn trees that have somehow retained most of their leaves long after I'd have expected them to drop. Naturally, I took advantage of that...

(As an aside, this was shot not using the usual D70s, but on my Dad's D200. After fiddling a bit with the controls I found it very easy - and powerful. I've got my eye on a D300 - or whatever its successor is going to be - when I get my first paycheck. Hehe )
