I just saw the rough model you posted and then came here. The texture and colors so far make it a very impressive looking piece of kit.

Ditto! Love the chain mail/kevlar method you used! looks great and would be functional too.
And the rust/weld look around the edges really make this pop, while the DOF makes for great realistic shots - it does detract from the detail oriented designs you make! Especially if viewers are looking for all the details you manage to put into your work.
Anxiously awaiting to see the final color renders!
