Nathaniel is very organized! He enjoys having a workspace that's clean and fresh. Unlike his workspace, his mind is often a cluttered mess! He dives into fantasy worlds of his own creation and gets lost in his over-imaginativetendencies. Despite this, he observes lots of details about the people and places around him. He’s a bit too shy to approach anyone to compliment them. It’s quite easy to see what he is feeling and thinking at all times, as his face is unintentionally transparent about things. He's naturally quite optimistic and always tries to be kind to everyone.

Nathaniel grew up in a loving family. His mom, his dad, his much older sister who had left the nest too early for Nathaniel to remember-- Mitzki, and his older sister-- Mitsuha. They were all very close knit, even the eldest sister who now lived halfway across the country. Mitsuha dealt with depression, and though Nathaniel didn't fully understand his sister's suffering at the time, he knew the seriousness of her mental illness. The day before Nathaniel got his acceptance letter into his college to pursue his dreams of game development, Mitsuha disappeared. Nathaniel has suffered through this loss for a long time, and has a hard time letting it go. His sister was his best friend, after all. Since losing her, Nathaniel has poured himself into his studies. He's going to try his hardest and do his best to make a game that would have been her favorite, wherever she may be now.
On a random day he can't remember well, he saved a girl from some guy who was harassing her. (He literally just grabbed her hand and ran-- such a hero, amiright?) After learning about her situation, he offered for her to live with him or his family-- for some unknown reason, she chose to stay in his condo with him.

Though he's out of the house, Nathaniel still lives in the same city, just in his own condo. It's a lot of space for just one guy, but he'd rather have more space than share a single dorm room with someone (or multiple someones) he doesn't know. Nathaniel is a rising college sophmore, who takes all his classes online. He's taking classes to get a major of design for game developers. He grows interested in the new arcade when it suddenly shows up, and now likes to spend time there to immerse himself in the games as a relaxation hobby, as well as for fun whenever he has free time. His eating habits aren't the best, (lots of ramen and fast food,) but it's mainly because he doesn't like to cook. His parents call weekly to check in, and always ask him about friends. He always laughs quietly. "Oh you know, mom. We're all busy and don't have a lot of time to meet up." But he hasn't talked to any of his friends in months. He's painfully lonely, but doesn't realize it.

Taki likes watching his tamer suffer, oh I mean, he enjoys going out of his way to find Nathaniel some friends! He gets very excited very easily over the simplest of things, such as seeing a bird out the window. Sometimes, he gets so excited and passionate about things that he becomes a little messy. He always seems hungry, so much to the point that eating seems to have become a hobby. Nathaniel calls him somewhat of a glutton. He always considers how Nathaniel will feel about his actions, and tries to keep his tamer from stressing over him too much. Nathaniel is his favorite person in the world, and tends to cling to him.
