it took 4 years to get some more lightning photos for you!
i stayed out til 3am shooting. this bolt was really close too!
downtown seattle from alki beach.

OMG!!! I love the lightning, and especially its magnificent violet reflection in the water. The skyline, with all those shining lights, is stunning as well.

even here in Oregon we got some pretty intense weather. The thunder was insanely loud.
anyway, beautiful shot. i slept through most of our storm.

I just moved from Washington to Nebraska.. we have thunderstorms here regularly and some get pretty nasty. My parents and all my friends still live up there, too, and from what I hear this storm was pretty nasty. Too bad I missed it, because I know we didn't get storms like that much up there. Excellent shot. Keep it up.

Did you shoot this lastnight? I was up until 2 am and the storm was right over my house north of Edmonds. This must had been after that when the storm moved downtown...
damn that was some of the loudest thunder I'd ever heard before. Great capture!
