Swirls, this is beautiful. Judging this contest will be so hard. I actually never heard of this painting or painter before, but I think that May looks like a porcelain doll in the garden. Also, please teach me how to make my strokes look so organic (I always have sharp edges when I do digital)

QuQ thank you
but how I do my paintings?
*leans in real close*
*whispers quietly*
you really think I know what I’m doing?
XD sorry, though there is truth to that statement. I’d say is don’t overthink it, make loose, confident strokes rather than short ones that you erase to form.
Another thing:
USE. PAINTERLY. BRUSHES. QuQ airbrushes and “pen” brushes can work for paintings if done correctly. But for experimentation purposes, a painterly brush (without a lot of holes/dots) works very well

Does anyone really know what they're doing when painting? XD
To be honest, here's what's happening in my brain while drawing:
Brain: you know anatomy, right?
Body: yes
Brain: and you know colour theory
Body: correct
Brain: then fucking use it
Body: no, I don't think I will
Also, I do use soft, painterly brushes which I made myself and they do have a lot of dots in them. To be honest, I had many shading phases
1. The airbrush phase (BURN IT)
2. The no shading phase
3. The cell shading phase
4. The many layers complex cell shading phase
5. The soft shading phase
6. The texture phase (I am here)
Also, you know I overthink stuff, I'm a perfectionist after all XD
