Little wonders

[ THEME SONG ]

These little wonders have been eagerly awaited. Their arrival had already been felt for two days when Primrose hadn't come out of their den very much. Lokki had spent several days collecting long dry grasses from the seaside to line a cozy bed for her. But in the end, the forest moss was much more comfortable for future puppies. Hours passed, and the first puppies started showing up one after another. After a long wait, Lokki felt his heart pound as he realized the moment had come. Doing his best to reassure his mate. The first born was Pyrrhos. The largest and most vigorous of the litter. He seemed to be a perfect blend of his parents, with red, gold, and a bit of black. Something to make his parents very proud. The second to arrive was a bit smaller; Aguilar. A puppy with a more orange and red coat, like a summer setting sun. He looked frail, but healthy. He cried quickly as soon as he came into the world to claim his mother. Looking for her warm nose and her tenderness. A first little female showed her head after a few minutes, following her two brothers. This one was orange and cream. A lighter and softer color. She immediately found her way to her parents, and her mother's warm belly. Almost brawling with Pyrrhos for the top spot. As the first hour passed, Lokki and Primrose were very happy to see a fourth pup show up. They didn't know how many they were going to have, but each new little pink muzzle filled their hearts with joy. And Baldorn was their next child. A puppy with a darker, brown coat, with some orange. He seemed as big as his other brothers, even a little more than Aguilar. He quickly found his way also to his mother's womb who welcomed them with a huge smile. Lokki also felt overwhelmed with joy and pride. Admiring each of his children whom he already loved more than anything. But their surprise was not over. Just as they thought everyone had arrived, a fifth and final pup showed up : Freyja. Her mother's eyes filled with emotion as she discovered the red and black coat of her youngest daughter. She reminded her of her much-missed grandmother Winema whom she thought she had lost. The little one quickly slipped between her parents' paws, and cried for their attention. The five newborn babies all quickly found their place against their mother's belly. leaving parents filled with joy. Primrose and Lokki exchanged a hug while admiring their new family. They were their little treasures. Long-awaited babies, whom they would love for a long time.
