I’ve been in the process of writing this story for years now. If anyone’s watched The Justice League, then you may recognize the designs. These are the Justice Lords, the Justice League of another dimension in which Flash was killed, Luthor becomes president, Superman kills Luthor, and the League basically become dictators. It was actually a really fun arc.

So this story takes place in that dimension a little before the League gets sucked in. Cheyenne has such a strong sense of morality that she becomes depressed and angry. She is especially calloused toward Superman and doesn’t even speak to him. She’ll go as far as to help small rebel groups (like the college kids protesting their voting rights).

She ends up being so sick and tired of it that she steals one of the planes/ships/whatever they are from the Watch Tower and runs away to the outskirts of Moscow to find Russia. He takes her in, and she starts to become her old self again.

However it’s short lived because the Lords end up finding her, and she confronts them to save Russia from any backlashes. Soon after the Justice League shows up, and it’s all downhill from there.

GL is using his ring; Russia is at the outside of the blockade. And I was going for Hawkgirl to be the one talking to Chey, but it could also be Batman. Take your pick.
